Engineering is indeed a vast terminology whose scope and impacts spread much farther than the horizons of a common man. Well not to underestimate the intellectual prowess of common man, we mean to describe engineering as a field with much broader horizons than an average man’s brain.
An engineer is a person who has earned a degree in any specific field of engineering from a recognized institution and now is capable of implementing and overseeing the projects underway and to monitor an entire implementation process.
A myth related to engineers is that these are creatures with the ability to solve every problem prevailing on earth. Well, this might not be true for all the cases as an engineer is supposed to solve only those problems in which he has earned his degree. You cannot hold a software engineer accountable due to the reason that he has not solved the issue of depleting the ozone layer, which is a headache entitled for an environmental engineer.
Initially, there used to be only four major branches of engineering namely:
With the passage of time, the world has gone through many drastic changes which gave rise to much bigger issues which in turn created space for more advanced and top-notch engineering disciplines. Here in this article, we will be bringing into the limelight, a few among many types of engineers, What do engineers do and the difference between them.
